St. Francis Memorial Homes, owned by DTC Memorial Service a close familyCorporation, was formally organized in 1986. It rapidly rose into prominence and gained stature by the grace of God. Today, and even in its early years, St. Francis Memorial Homes is one of the giants in the funeral industry of Cebu.
St. Francis Memorial Homes was brought into existence when it started out its operation at Bulacao, Talisay Cebu in 1986. During 1987 a lot was rented at 165 N. Bacalso Ave., and there St. Francis Memorial Homes moved its main office in a residential house. In the late 80’s and the early 1990’s, St. Francis Memorial Homes posted a service index of 6.5 services per day averaging 180 to 200 services per month. Because of stiff competition and organizational and management problems, The service index dropped to 4.5 services per day or an average of 130 to 150 services per month.
Presently St. Francis Memorial Homes has more than 10 branches in the province of Cebu and the province of Negros Oriental. Having branches as far as Liloan to the North of Cebu and Carcar to the south, Toledo in the southeast and San Carlos and Gihulngan in the island of Negros Oriental. St. Francis Memorial Homes is employing close to 100 personnel for its operations. Having a service index rate back to 6, averaging 180 a month. St. Francis holds the record for having the most number of services in Cebu City for the past 7 years. St. Francis Memorial Homes attributes it’s success not to the ability of the personnel that runs the helm of the company but rather to God, Who in His sovereignty chooses whom He wishes to promote.
At the heart of all the logistics involve, one theme remains sure in the hearts of all our personnel and that is “SERVICE” . . . As St. Francis Memorial Homes looks up ahead to the years that it will continue to exist as God’s will, its desire continues to service the people in “Cebu today . . . The world tomorrow.”
